As a part of the Latino Heritage Celebration this month, MBSA partnered with the Organization of Latino American Students (OLAS) to host a panel discussion entitled Diversifying Today’s Workplace. In an intimate discussion with both undergraduate and graduate students Vicktery Sanchez (GW Class of 2011) and Rakeish Williams were able to share their experiences. With Vicktery being newer to the workforce as compared to Rakeish’s 15 years of experience they students were able to get advice on how to handle things during different stages of their careers as well as hear first-hand accounts of how industries are responding to the increase of diversity in the US population. Everyone who attended the event thoroughly enjoyed it and was appreciative of the panelists willingness to be open and honest.
